Geoxe 50 WG

Geoxe®50WG is a fungicide formulated as a water dispersible granule (WG) containing 50% w / w Fludioxonil.

Fludioxonil is a contact product that belongs to the chemical family of phenylpyrroles, synthetic compounds derived from Pyrrolnitrin, an antifungal agent of natural origin that is secreted by some bacteria of the genus Pseudomonas.

It stimulates the synthesis of glycerol, a compound in charge of regulating the intercellular osmotic pressure, it produces a hypertrophy that ends up destroying the cells of the fungus.

Among the sources of losses in apples and pears, cryptogamic conservation pest diseases occupy a very important place. They are caused by a complex of different pathogens whose infection of the fruits is carried out strictly in the cultivation or in the conservation phase, and sometimes, during both phases. Regardless of the mode of infection of pathogens, symptoms can appear in the form of rotting of fruits during cold storage, thus affecting the distribution and marketing of fruits.

Treatment of fungi before harvest is intended to protect against the first infection that may take place in the crop.
